Current Lip Products

A problem with having too many lip products is that it is hard to get good use out of the whole collection. I try to keep my lip products in rotation so that I get the chance to use everything.

Nivea Lip Balm – A basic lip balm that does the job. This is always in my makeup bag. One day I went to work without it and it made me very sad.

Revlon lipstick in Red Lacquer – It looks like a bright red, but it is actually pretty sheer. Better for everyday wear, compared to other reds.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red – Just a classic matte red shade. I don’t get a lot of opportunities to wear red lipstick, but it is just nice to have around just in case.

Marc Jacobs Sheer Lip Gel in Eat Cake – Can we talk about that name? It is so perfect for this shade. It is the nicest rosy pink colour, a perfect nude for me. I have trouble with nude lipsticks since it always washes me out, but this one has the perfect amount of nude and pink for my skin tone.

Mac Lipstick in Lickable – A bright pink, one of my favourite lipsticks to wear during the weekend. The formula is moisturizing since it is a creamsheen finish.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Rose Petal – My everyday work shade, it is a nice rosy mauve shade that is mature and elegant.

Sephora Luster Matte Long-wear Lip Colour in Magenta – This is super long lasting and super bright. I wore this on a night out, and after drinks and dancing it stayed on perfectly. The name pretty much describes it.

Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon – Another mauve-y plum shade, similar to the bobbi brown lipstick, except not as long lasting and more moisturizing.

Dior Lip Glow – This is one of those magic lip balms that works with *something science-y here* to create a shade unique to you. I like it, it is luxurious feeling and the packaging is super cute (I mean, its Dior), but perhaps not worth the price tag because it is still just a lip balm.

MAC lipstick collection

I have been collecting MAC lipsticks since 2012 or so. My first lipstick was Angel, which turned out to be pretty terrible looking on me. Now I have 10 MAC lipsticks.

Most of my lipsticks are creamsheen or amplified formulas. MAC has a tonne of different formulas and lipsticks, but these are just the ones that I own and like (mostly).

Impassioned (Amplified) – A bright pink with orange undertones. I love wearing this during the warmer months. The formula lasts a good few hours, but it is slightly drying after a while.

Viva Glam Miley (Amplified) – Another bright pink with more of a blue undertone. It is a bit darker than impassioned.

Girl about town (Amplified) – A bright pink that leans towards magenta. It has cool undertones, and is also long lasting like the other amplified lipsticks.

Lickable (Creamsheen) – A shade similar to Girl About Town, however it is more moisturizing since it is a creamsheen formula.

Pink pearl pop (Creamsheen) – Somewhere in-between barbie pink and hot pink. Came in the same permanent collection with Sunny Seoul.

Sunny Seoul (Creamsheen) – A coral pink shade that is perfect for spring. I use to wear this a lot during the day.

Costa Chic (Frost) – A coral colour that would look great with a tan. This shade slightly washes out my complexion, and it is something that I can only get away with wearing during summer or when I apply a lot of bronzer.

Viva Glam Rihanna (Frost) – A darker red shade perfect for a night out. Comes in a red velvet-y packaging.

Angel (Frost) – Light baby pink that does no suit my skintone. It doesn’t have that frosty finish that a lot of the other frost shades have. It also washes me out, unfortunately.

Syrup (Lustre) – A light mauve shade perfect for autumn and for work.

All these shades are permanent.
