Sasa Haul

DSC00456

I made an order off Sasa around two weeks ago because I saw that they had the Fairydrops Platinum Waterproof Mascara in stock (also known as the Fairyfrops scandal queen waterproof mascara), and I have been trying to find this mascara for ages. It is a popular mascara amongst beauty bloggers, and I couldn’t find any on my trip to Asia last year.

So I bought 2…because I am a hoarder. I also recently got some other Asian mascaras to hopefully do a mascara comparison post.

I also got five Innisfree sheet masks in rose, green tea, cucumber, tea tree and aloe, as well as the innisfree jeju volcanic pore clay mask. I can’t wait to have a pamper evening and use this mask, I have heard a lot of good things about this clay mask.

I then picked up the Shu Uemura eyelash curler and a box of the BN Luminous change fake lashes in 09 Natural Eye.

Current Lip Products

A problem with having too many lip products is that it is hard to get good use out of the whole collection. I try to keep my lip products in rotation so that I get the chance to use everything.

Nivea Lip Balm – A basic lip balm that does the job. This is always in my makeup bag. One day I went to work without it and it made me very sad.

Revlon lipstick in Red Lacquer – It looks like a bright red, but it is actually pretty sheer. Better for everyday wear, compared to other reds.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red – Just a classic matte red shade. I don’t get a lot of opportunities to wear red lipstick, but it is just nice to have around just in case.

Marc Jacobs Sheer Lip Gel in Eat Cake – Can we talk about that name? It is so perfect for this shade. It is the nicest rosy pink colour, a perfect nude for me. I have trouble with nude lipsticks since it always washes me out, but this one has the perfect amount of nude and pink for my skin tone.

Mac Lipstick in Lickable – A bright pink, one of my favourite lipsticks to wear during the weekend. The formula is moisturizing since it is a creamsheen finish.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Rose Petal – My everyday work shade, it is a nice rosy mauve shade that is mature and elegant.

Sephora Luster Matte Long-wear Lip Colour in Magenta – This is super long lasting and super bright. I wore this on a night out, and after drinks and dancing it stayed on perfectly. The name pretty much describes it.

Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon – Another mauve-y plum shade, similar to the bobbi brown lipstick, except not as long lasting and more moisturizing.

Dior Lip Glow – This is one of those magic lip balms that works with *something science-y here* to create a shade unique to you. I like it, it is luxurious feeling and the packaging is super cute (I mean, its Dior), but perhaps not worth the price tag because it is still just a lip balm.

Current Skincare Routine

DSC00447

I normally start by removing any eye makeup with the Lancome bi-facial eye makeup remover, and then remove the face makeup and whatever traces left of eye makeup with the shu uemura cleansing oil. Removing makeup is really important for your skin, and I like to double cleanse.

I then cleanse my face with the Paula’s Choice Hydrating Cleanser and the Foreo Luna mini. I don’t use the Foreo Luna mini often to prevent over exfoliating my skin.

4-5 times a week, I exfoliate with the Paula’s Choice BHA Pore refining liquid. I have been using it for a week or so, and so far my skin seem softer and hopefully it clears up the acne scars.

I moisturize with the Clinique Even Better Serum, and then the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I have been using Clinique products for years, and it is just a product that I know will always work.

Every now and then I like to use sheet masks, normally before a night event where I will be wearing thicker makeup than usual. I like to use masks from My Beauty Diary or Etude House.

Extras (not in pic):
Khiels Eye Cream
Josie Maran Argan Oil – for a strong boost of moisture when my skin is feeling extremely dry

August Beauty Wish List

Beauty Wish List

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: The ambient lighting products from Hourglass are some of my favourite beauty items ever. I love the bronzer and the finishing powders because they are so luxurious and finely milled, but I have yet to give the blushes a try. The finish of their products are always so beautiful and flawless. I really want to try Dim Infusion and Luminous Flush.

Lorac Pro 2 Palette: I have the Lorac Pro Palette and I love it very much. The quality of the eye-shadow’s are some of the best on the market right now, and I am particularly interested in the shade Jade. I don’t normally wear any shade outside of the brown spectrum, but I think this shade would look lovely as a smokey eye.

Anastasia Brow Wiz: I love this brow product so much that I always need a back up or two of it, but I think I might try a different shade next time. I normally use soft brown, but I think medium brown might be more suitable.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick: I have been loving the liquid lipstick trend going on right now. Kat Von D liquid lipstick suddenly appeared in the best seller list on Sephora, and pretty much all over the beauty community on the internet. I want to try outlaw, a-go-go and backstage bambi.

Too Faced Bronzer (Milk Chocolate): Too Faced has a lot of different bronzers on the market, but this one apparently smells like chocolate, and you know chocolate makes anything better.  I have a few bronzers in rotation right now, but I don’t have a good matte bronzer that I can use on a daily basis. Maybe the next time I make a Sephora order I’ll pick this up.

Kat Von D Liquid Liner: I always need more liquid liners. The Kat Von D one uses a brush tip instead of a felt tip, which I prefer since it is more flexible and easier to apply. One of the reasons I don’t like the stila liner is that it has a felt tip brush.
